IN PART, AS COUNCIL, YOU ARE WELL AWARE OF THE BUDGET IMPLICATIONS THAT WE HAVE BENEFITED FROM FROM A RESULT OF THESE PROJECTS. THE WORK THAT YOU SEE HERE IS DONE BY TO PUT ALL THIS TOGETHER IN A WAY THAT IS EASY TO READ, AND THEN WITH JOSEPH GOING THROUGH AND REALLY EVALUATING ALL OF THE NUMBERS -- LOOKING AT NOT ONLY THE POSITIVE TAX BENEFITS FROM PROJECTS BUT ALSO THE COST ASSOCIATED WITH EACH OF THOSE. IN PART, THIS ALLOWS US FUNDS THAT CAN BE USED IN LIEU OF THE TAX ABATEMENT AS WE HAVE SHIFTED FROM USING THAT TOOL TO ULTIMATELY USING SALES TAX REVENUE TO BRING IN THESE LARGE ECONOMIC GENERATING PROJECTS THAT THEN ALLOW THE CITY AND YOU AS COUNCIL TO REDIRECT THOSE FUNDS TO SPECIAL PROJECTS THAT BENEFIT THE RESIDENTS AND ALSO NEW EXEMPTIONS THAT HAVE BEEN ADDED OR TAX RATES THAT YOU WOULD CHOOSE. THE SECOND PIECE IS WE HAVE ADJUSTED AND ACTUALLY LOWERED THE AMOUNT WE ARE ALLOCATING TOWARD OUR CAREER CENTER BUCKET . PART OF THE DISCUSSION THERE IS AS WE LOOK AT THOSE PROJECTS , THOSE ARE OPPORTUNITIES THAT WE WILL LIKELY LOOK AT FOR BOND FUNDING. AND SO WE HAVE THE ABILITY OF STRETCHING THEM OUT OVER LONGER PERIODS AT THEN OPEN UP AND ALLOW MORE MONEY FOR THE OTHER BUCKETS, LIKE NUMBER THREE OF DOWNTOWN -- THE LAST MEETING THAT CATEGORY WAS ADJUSTED TO ALLOW FOR $8 MILLION THAT COULD BE USED FOR THE CATALYST PROJECTS. AIRPORT DESTINATION DEVELOPMENT AND OFFICE IN THAT REPORT . A COUPLE OF KEY THINGS WE PLAN TO DO IN THIS NEXT YEAR.WE ARE COMING TO THE CONCLUSION OF OUR FIVE-YEAR STRATEGIC PLAN, AND SO WE LOOK TO UPDATE THAT . A BIG FOCUS AS WE LOOK AT OUR RECRUITMENT EFFORTS -- WE HAVE SEEN A TREMENDOUS AMOUNT OF GROWTH OVER THE LAST FEW YEARS. SO ONE OF THE THINGS THAT WE SEEK TO INITIATE IS TO WORK WITH OUR PROPERTY OWNERS AND LARGE PROPERTY OWNERS , SPECIFICALLY OF OUR COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL PROPERTIES OF REALLY WORKING TOGETHER AND ENVISIONING WHAT THESE SITES CAN BE. WE ONLY HAVE ONE OPPORTUNITY TO DEVELOP THEM AND THEY HAVE LONG-TERM IMPLICATIONS. WANT TO WORK WITH PROPERTY OWNERS ULTIMATELY FINDING THE HIGHEST AND BEST USE IN EACH OF THOSE SITES . AND SO THERE IS REALLY A KEY PRIORITY IN WORKING WITH THE AIRPORT, WORKING WITH THE CITY OF LOXAHATCHEE. OBVIOUSLY WORKING WITH COUNCIL TO FIND SOMEBODY THAT CAN START ACTIVITY AT THAT AIRPORT BECAUSE WE KNOW AND WE RECOGNIZE THAT IT DOES HELP AS WE BRING PRIMARY JOB EMPLOYERS TO OUR COMMUNITY. ANOTHER AREA IS IN DESTINATION DEVELOPMENT. ONE OF THE FINDINGS THAT WAS REITERATED IN OUR QUESTIONNAIRE THAT WAS SENT OUT -- OUR COMMUNITY SURVEY , S.U.P. TO SPEND THEIR MONEY AND ENJOY THEIR TIME IN MIDLOTHIAN. SO AGAIN, AS WE ARE LOOKING AT THE REMAINING SITES THAT WE HAVE, THERE WILL BE A BIGGER PUSH OF, HOW DO WE LEVERAGE THOSE RESOURCES IN BRINGING THOSE DESTINATION PLACES FOR OUR COMMUNITY .
