THE CITY COUNCIL HAD DIRECTED STAFF AT THAT TIME TO RESEARCH THE LIGHTING STANDARDS AND WE HAD SOME DISCUSSION AT THE NOVEMBER 18TH, 2025 MEETING, THAT WAS A VERY BROAD LOOK AT LIGHTING IN GENERAL SO WHAT WE ARE PROPOSING IS THAT WE ARE JUST GOING TO ADDRESS THE SIGN LIGHTING STANDARDS AND ADDRESS SOME OF THE OTHER THINGS THAT WERE DISCUSSED WITH THE UDC UPDATE SO THAT WOULD BE MORE COMPREHENSIVE. SO WITH THE EXISTING REGULATIONS LIMITED SIGNAGE IS NOT ALLOWED IN THE CBD OR NORTH EIGHTH DISTRICT. THE -- THE ZONING ORDINANCE IS A LITTLE AMBIGUOUS WITH REGARDS TO ILLUMINATED SIGNAGE WITH SIGNS AND PYLONS.
